Scientific rank: Senior research associate at the Institute for Adriatic Crops from 2019
Scientific and Professional Interests:
My scientific interest is primarily plant microbiology, so my professional experience is related to this research area. From an assistant to a senior research associate at the Institute for Adriatic Crops, I continuously research plant pathogens, mostly citrus and grapevine viruses. I am also involved in researches related to the beneficial symbiotic microorganisms of plants such as arbuscular-mycorrhizal fungi. I favour scientific topics related to the interactions between microorganisms and their host plants, which continuously inspires me to be involved in scientifc investigation on the subject. I have experience in genetic identification of microorganisms as well as their genetic characterization, quantification, plant physiology and biochemistry, soil microbiology, which are often main topics of the projects that I work on and publications as well.
